Next, the backbone and core of Gilmour Racing is Matthew Gilmour. Matt is the team owner/manager and the one person that ties the team together. Matt has had years of experience in all aspects of motorsport and spends 100s of hours working on these cars to make sure they are running to Gilmour Racing spec. Since his father's passing in 2020 he has stepped into the role of team owner/manager with ease and confidence and in his first year led the team to win the championship with Noah Sands 65 Motorsport.
Matt is looking forward to the 2024 Australian Formula Open season and hopefully guiding Kyle Evans Motorsport to a pole position.
