Kyle Evans is making the most of 2021.  A win in the Queensland Formula Ford Championship was quickly followed by two trips to Sydney.

Evans made his debut in the National Formula Ford Series at Sydney Motorsport Park, where Kyle finished all three races inside the top 10.

"We travelled to Sydney for a first taste of the National Series.  The chance to race against the best Formula Ford drivers from across the country was an opportunity too good to miss", Kyle said.

The two visits to Sydney Motorsport Park, for the National and then the State Championship event wasn't just about the racing,

"The facilities at Sydney Motorsport Park were incredible.  Having a garage on pit lane, watching the races from the roof and an outstanding canteen was really exceptional," Kyle explained.

At this stage in his career, Kyle knows that this is all part of a learning curve.  He is still learning the Formula Ford characteristics; from standing starts and cold tyre laps, to racing wheel to wheel against some of the best young talent in Australia.  It is not something mastered overnight.

"It is amazing to be apart of a professional category with lots of media coverage and a feature in SBS Speedweek," Kyle told Velocity Motorsport Magazine.

The next national Formula Ford round is a Wakefield Park and is a combined national/state round on the 21-23 of May.
